KHARTOUM — Fajag
The Central Bank of Sudan (CBOS) will launch a financing portfolio for solar energy and agricultural production inputs in Northern State tomorrow (Thursday, Oct. 15, 2026), with funding of approximately SDG 15 billion. The initiative involves five banks, led by Bank of Khartoum, and targets 10,000 beneficiaries.
A similar portfolio will be launched in River Nile State on Saturday, Oct. 17, with seven participating banks and funding of approximately SDG 35 billion, targeting 20,000 beneficiaries.
The portfolios fall under the Financial Inclusion Enhancement Project and the State-Level Financing Portfolios Initiative, sponsored by CBOS Governor Amna Mirghani Hassan Al-Tom.
The initiative aims to support productive sectors, reduce production costs and strengthen agricultural value chains to enhance food security for Sudanese citizens.
